CHELSEA RICHARDS
Scenic Designer/Scenic Artist
ABOUT ME
Originally from Stamford, Nebraska, Chelsea holds the MFA in Scenic Design and Painting from Utah State University. She has worked across the country at companies such as Cape May Stage in New Jersey, the Old Lyric Repertory Theatre in Utah, and was a founding member of the non-profit theatre Harlan Country Dam Playhouse in Republican City, Nebraska. She recently served as the Production Designer for the brand-new comedy series, “Groundbreaking” from Kiyo Films, completing the first season’s filming in northwestern Ireland.

In addition to scenic design, she also acts, sings, stitches costumes, and can hold her own on a volleyball or basketball court.

Chelsea is Director of the Theatre Program/Associate Professor of Theatre in Scenic Design at Utah Tech University. She teaches all courses related to scenic studies as well as general theatre courses.
